Duet Foundation
The Duet Foundation helps bridge the financial gap that can occur in the work we do with the people we support. Through generous donations, we can provide and connect people with resources and services that aid in honoring personal goals and needs.
Primary Funding Priorities
• Personal Expenditures: The Foundation provides funding for people who need financial assistance with things like clothing, admission to events, bedding, etc. We also assist when Medicaid assistance will not fully cover the cost of durable medical equipment like a wheelchair or deny the request.
• Program Expenses: Medicaid reimbursement rates do not cover enhanced services, specialized training or group equipment. Through Foundation funding, sensory rooms, enriching programs and equipment have been provided.
• Emergency Funds: From emergency guardianship legal issues to natural disasters, the Foundation has assisted people when the unexpected happens.
Immersion in enriching experiences like going to a baseball game, receiving needed equipment like a Hoyer lift or access to affordable, ADA compliant housing can be life changing. Removing the financial barriers that can exist for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to fully embrace and experience their community is one component in Duet’s mission and commitment to a person-centered approach for the people supported.
