
Renee is a dynamic force at Duet's Central Nebraska day location. Her favorite things about Duet are the staff, spending time with her friends, and enjoying activities like visits to the National Guard and car museum outings. Beyond Duet, she works at a local daycare, teaching 22 children aged 3-5 years old. Her favorite part of working at the daycare is being creative with the kids and leading them on adventures by using their imaginations. Renee is a dedicated volunteer, donating her time to organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Arc, the Humane Society, and reading to one of her best friends.
Renee has served as the president of People First Nebraska for four years and empowers others to advocate for themselves. Her advice to others is, "Don't be afraid and use your voice." Renee will soon be meeting with state senators to discuss legislation and to advocate for people with disabilities. Renee is a track and bowling athlete with Special Olympics, and her bowling team recently placed second and qualified for the state competition. Renee enjoys going to dinner at Subway and watching Family Matters, Little House on the Prairie, and the Waltons. Renee embodies resilience, community spirit, and compassion.
